Dancing With The Stars on ABC returns tonight for the semifinals. With only four couples remaining, who has what it takes to make it into next week’s finale to battle it out for the mirror ball trophy? Keep reading for all the details!
ABC’s Dancing With The Stars semifinals kicks off tonight as each couple will be dancing to one ballroom dance routine and also one Latin dance routine. The celebrities must also have a solo in one of their routines – talk about added pressure. So just how did the final four do tonight? Here is how they all did for the semifinal performance.
Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer
Kyle and Lacey performed the Samba for their first routine and Kyle’s solo was very good. This was definitely his best performance yet this season and he even added some comedy in his routine with a lot of shaking. The judges loved it and this pair earned two 10’s for total score of 29.
For their second routine, Kyle and Lacey performed the Argentine Tango and it rocked the house. This kid has really come out and proved that he means business. It was nearly flawless and Kyle’s footwork was perfect – he was even able to lift Lacey up a few times during the routine. The judges praised them once again as they earned another 29, giving them a total of 58 out of 60.
Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Brandy and Maks came out and did the Paso Doble and Brandy’s solo was great. I loved this routine, as she showed so much emotion and it was like watching a show and not a dance. The judges were less critical than last week and they loved it as well, giving them a 27 for this one.
Next up, Brandy and Maks performed the Argentine Tango and it was explosive. Their moves were perfect and once again Brandy’s emotions played into the routine perfectly. The judges thought this one was so good that it worthy of a perfect score of 30, giving Brandy and Maks a 57 out of 60 tonight.
Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough
Jennifer and Derek performed the Cha Cha Cha for their first routine and it executed perfectly. Jennifer’s solo was spot on and the judges just adored the way she danced around them. Jennifer proved once again why she belongs in the finals next week as these two earned a perfect score of 30.
For their second routine, Jennifer and Derek danced the Waltz and once again Jennifer proved why she belongs at the top as this was beautiful, meaningful and performed to perfection. Once again the judges thought it was worthy of a second perfect score of 30, giving this pair a 60 out 60 and the top spot on the score board tonight.
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas
For their first routine tonight Bristol Palin and Mark performed the Paso Doble and Bristol finally came out in this performance and showed us a side of her that we have not seen. She was full of emotion and her moves were right on which earned the pair a 27 from the judges.
For their second routine tonight, Bristol and Mark performed the Waltz and it was not as good as their previous performance. It was meant to be beautiful and Bristol had her moments, but she definitely looked stiff to me and Carrie Ann was not a big fan, although Len was, I must agree with Carrie Ann – Bristol looked blank in some places. They earned a 26 for this one, giving them a total of 53 out of 60 for the night.
That makes Jennifer and Derek the leaders this week, and Bristol and Mark are once again the bottom couple. Be sure to vote, vote, vote to make sure your favorite has a place next week.
