Its winter, a new season and maybe that flat platinum hair colour looked great with that natural summer shine but just looks too dull now. Brighten up this winter by making yourself stand out by trying a new hair colour…
Here are some of our favorite salon and celebrity winter hair trends that will give you some inspiration…
Fired up. If you are a natural brunette try a few different shades of copper and nutmeg through a choppy shag or crop in places that makes the most impact, like a fringe or top of the roots.
Blondes are anything but dull. If you have Platinum hair, to warm it up add a few top shades of light apricot and white gold.
Midnight rush. Glossy jet black is a huge trend for this winter, inspired by popstar Katy Perry, this ultra glam colour, looks great with a blunt fringe, especially if you have porcelain skin.
Sculptural colour. The latest Vidal Sassoon Shape and Balance technique places Multi-tonal colouring in a precise way that it enhances the shape and cut of the hair. This can be done with any shade but looks fantastic.
Go natural. A common trend this winter is for mousy browns to go natural and make the most of their facial features with a short crop with accents of chestnut or honey blonde to stop the colour from looking too flat, i.e. Emma Watson’s new style.
Stop traffic. Hot red is a very trendy colour at the moment, as seen on popstar Rihanna, it can be sexy or glamorous depending on the cut, but it will definitely make you stand out from the crowd.
Salon Tip: If you are thinking of changing your hair colour, don’t forget to book a consultation first. Your stylist can advise you on what shade and cut will suit your skin tone and your face shape.
