Carrie Hayes spring 2011 line, The Paddock: Exclusive to Shopgirls Gallery Boutique
Remember the days when you had to wait until spring to buy spring clothes? I do, because I recall never being able to find anything to wear or buy when I took winter vacations. Of course that has all changed – nowadays even Old Navy and JOE is selling a wall of flip flops and bikinis – ready for resort.
Shopgirls Boutique, the little west end treasure chest of a gallery/boutique that stocks wares from over 80 Canadian artists is also getting set with new Spring merchandise. First up, local gal Carrie Hayes and a line of well-made summer separates.
The 20-piece collection is made from cotton, nylon and bamboo, and includes pants ($60 to $90), jackets ($130), dresses ($95 to $150), shorts ($60) and tops ($30 to $100) – all affordable and proudly manufactured in Canada.
Separates are not something I usually jump for – but we ALL need neutral pieces that can be paired with anything – and before heading to say the Gap, consider Canadian!
